Gt Performer for my eldest
BrianP:
Afternoon all,
I've two daughters here who have been starting to show a bit of interest in bmx. My eldest daughter has taken my bike out a few times, and I had been talking to her about building her one of her own, as she's finding mine a wee bit difficult to get on with. She's seen the wee stash of parts I have in the attic and had her eye on my mongoose f&f but when I showed her an old GT performer frameset I had and told her she could fix it up whatever way she wanted, her eyes kinda lit up a bit ;D.
Anyway, here's a few pics of the build at different stages. It's quite a mixture of old and new school parts, but she's well pleased with it, and that's the main thing. She'll also be well stoked at seeing it online later when I show her this thread.
The frame came from ebay.de about two years ago, with about half a dozen layers of rattle-can spray and cost me 99 euros. Most of the other parts I had here, except pedals and seat.
