I don't think they are backwwards 'C's... looks more like the serial stampers '0' was not aligned properly.

When I was in printing we had a numbering machine for consecutively numbering invoices and delivery notes.. if the stamp head wasn't set up properly you ended up with a similar effect.

looks similar but that aussie one looks like its got that plate(with the raised bumps) behind the seatpost tube like the meteorlite, your doesn't have that

dave you could be right as when it had paint on it looked like the number or letter  "0 . o  " so who knows .... but mark    "sparky he thinks it could be made by akisu as they use that marking  "c" ........ :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:   this is driving me crazy
