How can you tell if it's Hutch ???
Faze7-Ade:
Just bought a doughnut seat clamp off ebay, and was wondering what make it may be.
It's silver polished, and has a chrome alen bolt, and the only thing on it is "25.4" hand engraved on the inside of the clamp. It's the hand engraving that got me wondering (it's not the sort of thing I'd expect from a cheap taiwan copy).
Does anyone have a hutch seat clamp that could tell me if there are any other markings on the genuine article ?
I'm not worried if it's a copy, as I only paid £6 for it, but it would be a result if it turned out to be made by Hutch......

Saw that and thought about bidding, original hutch clamps were chrome, not polished. The bolt was also 5/16 unc thread. not metric.
I fairly sure of this, others probably know more.
HUTCHMAN:
none of mine have any markings.the concentric ones are machined inside where as the ecentric japanese "hutch" stamped ones appear to be forged.
Faze7-Ade:
Cheers for the replies.
It's concentric and is machined on the inside too. I think it's polished but I'll take a closer look now :daumenhoch:
I'm pretty sure it's polished, so I guess that means it's a copy, but it's really nice quality, so will do me fine !

I guess if it doesnt cost an arm and a leg, then its not hutch :LolLolLolLol:
