GT ....... Fun build !!
NORTY40:
I have built this as a bit of fun really , it has been done for a month or so but with my mongoose cali taking longer than expected ::)
I thought 'sod it' I will put it on and let the :police:have their say :D
I bought the frame and forks and a few other bits off ebay 15 months ago (before finding RAD) for £40. I actually thought i had scored an original performer :-[ , it was only a few weeks later when i went on bmx museum and thought to myself :wtf: have i bought ;D
It turns out it is actually a 91 Vertigo (another downer as i didn't really want to restore anything after 87 ideally) but having already had some custom performer decals made up I decided to carry on anyway. I think in time I might get DEL to do some original 'vertigo' decals but tbh this isn't high on my list of priorities , so it will probably stay like this for the foreseeable future.
The frame and forks had been powdered White , believe me it wasn't a SBD job, it actually looked like it had been applied by a spatula  :D , the first 'artexed' BMX maybe ;) I knew straightaway what colour i wanted it to be after lusting after a Baby Blue Ripper bitd. The frame, forks and all the other bits were prepped and out came the 'RATTLE' cans again for the full 80's colour coded effect :D
It has been a relativeley cheap build but I am quite pleased how it has turned out .......... GT Vertiformer maybe ??? .... I'll get my coat ;D
Big thanks to a few RADsters for parts etc:
