I gotta ask , after seeing your post above on page 5 .
You talk about the heavy pitting ( with primer , filling pics etc ) . I've not in a long time seen the kind of pits you show on a properly stripped frame ? , was it the shot blasting that contributed perhaps to this or was this pitting in the chrome ( meaning frame was'nt dipped to remove chrome prior to any prep/paint ) ? .
I'm just shocked by what seem like craters in close up , if this was bare metalled :-\ .
I've had 2 of these , nowhere near as bad .

they looked real bad but by touch i bet they were only 30-50 microns deep but the high build primer highlighted the pitting , yes i blasted it and i think maybe the nickol plating hid some of the pitting
