mongoose serial number register - PLEASE add your serial numbers............

OK I thought it would be nice to have a UK register of the goose (& BMX Product Inc.) frames we have in collector's hands over here.

If info is added about the frame along with the serial it will also help identify any rare or odd-ball frames we have over here. It will also help to highlight which months specific changes happened to mongoose frames over the years.

So some specific info that will really come in handy :

GUSSET ERA
Serial number position - bottom bracket/box section ?
Coaster tab ?
Box section Open/Closed ?
Number of holes in the brake bridge ?
Flattened rear chain stay Yes/No ?
Original finish Yes/No ? If yes then what is the finish ?
Holes in the rear dropout  Yes/No ?
Survivor decals Yes/No ? If yes which decal style ?
Anything else you want to add.


NON-GUSSET 'CALI' ERA
Serial number position - bottom bracket/box section ?
Head tube badge - None/Riveted/Glued ?
Number of holes in the brake bridge ?
Shape of hole(s) in the brake bridge ?
Full chro-mo yes/no ? How have you determined this ?
Original finish Yes/No ? If yes then what is the finish ?
Survivor decals Yes/No ? If yes which decal style ?
Anything else you want to add.


EXAMPLES:

Gusset era:
CJ0 346981 (on bottom bracket)
No Coaster tab
Closed Box section
1 Hole in the brake bridge
No Flattened rear chain stay
Nickel Original finish
No holes in the rear dropout
No survivor decals

Non-Gusset era:
M4-I6865 (on bottom bracket)
No head tube badge
1 slotted hole in the brake bridge
Not full chro-mo (determined from survivor top tube decal & weight)
Chrome Original finish
Blue Max 1st gen blue/white Survivor decals


I know it's a lot of info but it really will help.

Please keep posts to serial numbers & info only so it doesn't get too messy  :daumenhoch:

1/ H159241 on bottom bracket
2/ no coaster tab
3/ box section closed with round stand hole
4/ 3 holes in brake bridge...  outer 2 being oval.
5/ flattened chain stay...  'NO'
6/ original finish...            'NO'    nickel platted.  because i wanted a nickel one!!!
7/ survivor decals...          'NO'   original supergoose re-pops from us ebay.
8/ holes in the rear drop outs...  'YES'   2
