What do we think about....non original paint jobs?
bobbysam:
I'm just restoring my first bike and I'm going custom all the way...it's all about what you like, after all it's you who is paying the money and riding it.

i wouldn't destroy a good original finish, but if it needs a new paint job then any colour you like seems fine. Unless your gonna put only stock parts on to make it like it came from the factory then i wouldn't bother about the colour. I had this issue with my nat pro. It is a kind of dark co-op blue :-\ but it has been like that since it was new although it's not a factory finish. I was gonna strip it back to the chrome underneath, but when i got the story and the history behind the paint-job i left it as is. I can always strip it back to the perfect, protected from new, chrome that lies underneath in the future. Do your own thing :daumenhoch:

Decided to build as is and started aquiring parts. This is the build that was never supposed to happen as I thought I had it packed in, until this came along for a nice price. I was told it was originally chrome, so maybe in the future I will strip it back and see what it looks like.
Never thought i'd get one of these frames, and as the finish is so nice couldnt bring myself to strip it. It was only sold as a frame and forks anyway, so as parts wont follow any strict guide, might as well keep the custom paint.
