Post by: Blueylad on February 17, 2019, 12:32 PM
Hi guys does anyone know what this frame is, it has piranha decals and aero zytecs but I'm pretty sure it isn't so bit confused.
Cheers.

I concur, it’s not a Piranha.

Looks foreign to me I thought something like a redline with the support on the lower gusset but no.

Isn't it a Piranha race bike?

I'm really not sure about the piranha thing, and I can't find an akitsu to compare it with, it's baffling me bad.

Could be a motobecane or something like that.

I can't see why anyone would re sticker a bike as a Piranha , are there no similarities in the dropouts to the freestyler? it has the looptail like the freestyler, and the Aero Zytecs seem like too much of a coincedence for it not to be.... :-\

The chainstay tubes run straight into the bottom bracket tube on this, on the Freestyler they have a second loop welded at a block gusset. It’s an interesting design on the Freestyler the rear triangle, top tubes and chainstay tubes are all one piece of metal. Also, the main lower frame tube on Piranha’s is triangular, not round.
