A few weeks ago I started to get my garage organised with new shelving units, storage cabinet, workbench and tool chest.
I spent most of yesterday and all of today unpacking my parts stash and getting it organised, here are the results...

Clearing out my garage is going to be my big summer project this year, so much crap to wade through and sort out

Have been in this house just over 4 years and finally decided what to do with my collection and all the crap in the garage. I had a box of parts that I hadn't opened since before we moved! So much happier now it's mostly sorted although still have a lot to sort out but will do that progressively and when I have some more cash!
Plus getting the garage sorted has given me a bit of drive to get finishing up some restoration and wheel building,.

Ooo the Haro's out the box , nice one Marty .looks far too tidy

Lol should have seen the mess before! So much packaging made it look like I had three times the amount of stuff! Very glad I've done it now, builds are where they should be and parts are now organised properly and either with the right frame and forks or boxed up ready for the build.
It's also given me a little oomph to get things done and have made a start on finishing the restoration of my Jag parts and tidying up the chrome on the frame.

Looks good Marty, I see the Procraft is still there mate :coolsmiley:
When we moved into our house 17 years ago I parked the wife's car in the garage every night so it stayed tidy for about 5 years until I started a few building projects on the place and that was that, the car moved outside and the mess moved in. Things got worst when my brother left as his entire stockpile of BMX tat arrived in there but late last year I decked out my attic and started sorting through the garage, chucking stuff I'd hoarded for years so I could get a car in there again.
What's great is all the bike stuff is now in the loft along with an old carpet so I can sort stuff out a bit easier in comfort as there is lights and power up there as well. When I have a big job to do I just reverse the car out the garage and Ta-da, loads of space to work appears. I have to force myself to tidy up every day but the car goes back in at the end of the day. Mind you, the last 6' of the garage where I've stock-piled everything looks a bomb-site but at least I can get the car in :2funny:

Great work there Marty, and Spen from the sound of it! :daumenhoch: I miss having a garage!! :crybaby:
-
Yes Spen, I still have the Procraft, need to finish the rims and then put it all together! Managed to pick up a Procraft powerdisk for it too.
Thanks Mikku, I don't think I could manage without a garage!
