Title: Hello everyone
Post by: Thphewphth on March 02, 2017, 10:14 AM
Hi folks, I'm Chris. Apologies for the nearly unpronounceable forum name, I got stuck for a good while trying to think of one.

Today is my sons 3rd birthday and we got him a little bike as he was shouting "BIKEBIKEBIKE" every time one passed us. He is over the moon with it. Having no bike myself these days besides a motorbike I have decided to get a new bmx for myself so we can go out together. Nothing expensive but nothing utter crap either. I have my eye on a Voodoo and am considering picking it up today. Are there any reasons I should avoid Voodoo? They look decent to my eyes. My last bmx was over 25 years ago , can't even remember the name but it had "zero" on it somewhere.

My wife thinks I'm getting a bit old for a bmx at 38 but I disagree, I'll be too old when I can't swing my leg over one.

See you out there, I'll be the old guy that wobbles a lot before falling off  :slayer:

Welcome to RAD

Rather than going brand new would suggest that you'll get a much better spec bike for your £ if you consider 2nd hand
There was a decent complete in the for sale section yesterday too but there are plenty about

Thanks for the welcome guys, much appreciated.

I picked up a Voodoo Zaka from Halfrauds, the blue one with whitewalls. Finished sticking it together a couple of hours ago and had a good old wobble down my street. Bike feels good to me so far but I've not had an off yet. Might pop down the skate park later tonight once the youngsters have buggered off to bed and see if I can chip a bone or twist something unintentionally

Meant to also mention that it was my wife that bought it for me for me as a birthday present.  Way better than the usual assortment of clothes and maltesers.

Didn't think to check the classified section first , lesson learned there
