I recently picked up some rims from the States and they came with the old tyres and tubes:-

As you can see in the pic, the tubes have plastic protectors/tyre liners on them. I've never seen or used these before, either bitd or more recently. Has anybody else?

the green one looks like a "slime" brand liner, not sure about the brown one. quite a common item, i used the slime ones in my MTB about 12 years back when i bought some panaracer tyres that were particularly prone to puncturing. never bothered once i changed the tyres to different ones. you can still buy the slime ones. regards, Neil.

Not used them on a BMX. But I did use them on my Racer BITD. They must have worked as I don't recall ever getting a puncture. :daumenhoch:
