Is it a front "specific" brake, or is it a universal one? I had a universal one and had to bin it cos they is the shits. If it is a front one, there seems to be a "barrel" missing, and the cable adjuster.

Pickle - go and buy your front u brake setup. Thney are the bollocks.  The only thing that came close was the Reaction Megabrake  (a modified Boa).

You can't beat a front u brake   :daumenhoch:

...................And not too much tension on the springs - they only need enough to release the brake. The tighter the springs, the greater the effort needed at the lever and the more likely they are to twist out of shape   ;)

You'll love it. Compared to a caliper brake on the front, A U brake is a real treat. Light as a feather at the lever and strong as you like   :)

i think no brake at all would work better than the rubbish caliper thing i have on the front at the moment  :D

Looking forward to being able to rip my spleen clean out just by pressing that right hand lever!!   :daumenhoch:

If you're fitting a brake plate and then bolting your Ubrake to it, be sure to secure the plate to the fork legs.  Big fat cable ties will do it, or jubilee clips are better if you're not super fussy about a scratch or two..  This will remove all play from the setup and the brake will be 'on the button'  :)

no brakes  :daumenhoch: another possible idea  :daumenhoch:  ::)

Its worth doing.  The plate I used to run was a little longer and had cutouts specifically for jubilee clips. Can't remember who made it though....

No brakes???   Might as well go and buy a skateboard....  As an old friend of mine once said 'if you want to do summat brakeless - don't pull em'   ;D ;D

I'm a bit puzzled by the position of your springs....  The flat-sided adjusters should look symmetrical  (in my experience).  Have you got one side mega tight or loose?  The one on the right as you look at it looks suspect   ;)
