Title: MX1000 brakes
Post by: virtualmeuk on December 28, 2007, 11:59 PM
Hi all,

Got some MX1000 brakes that are in a pretty bad way. Is there any way to get the rivet off that holds the quick release and if so do you know where i can get a new one from to replace it with? or do i just use a nut and bolt?

Cheers

Steve

The rivit will drill out, and then use a nut and bolt :daumenhoch:

I may be wrong but I dont think the quick release will work properly with just a nut and bolt. :)

It will work if a nyloc nut is used. :daumenhoch:

or polish an alu rivet and use that(don't ask me where to get one, try a rivet shop or online)
