So, here it is, the highlight of the BMX calendar (much better than that little MK meet IMO).
All you need to do at this stage is think hard about a BMX you’ve seen that has proper outstanding BMX factor, a bike that stops shows, drops jaws and is worthy of walking off with the BMXFACTOR title.
Once you’ve picked your bike, then (if, you could be so kind/know how to/can be arsed) please upload a pic of the bike you’re entering. If you can’t upload for whatever reason, PM me, and I’ll do it for you.
THINGS TO REMEMVER WHEN SELECTING YOUR ENTRY BIKE:
1) You only get one choice, so choose wisely
2) Your one choice MUST be for one, single bike (no multiples)
3) It can be from any era/‘school’
4) It can be a bike built at any time, doesn’t have to be recently, from this year’s BOTM comps etc
5) The bike can be built by anyone, including yourself if you wish, but preferably the bike should be built by a Radster as this is a RADBMX based comp.
6) When submitting an entry, if possible, can you add the year, make and model of the bike, and the name of the bike builder
THIS IS A BIT OF FUN, NO MOANING etc, ITS CHRISTMAS AFTER ALL.
This entry post will remain open for 2 weeks until 21st December, this will give you plenty of time to trawl through the forum pages and FB, which hopefully will lead to a mass of beautiful and varied machines.
The voting for the 1st round will be set up once this thread has been locked. How many rounds we have will depend on how many bikes get entered.
You’ve 2 weeks and 1 choice - GO!!!!
-
Top work Dan, will get my thinking cap on :daumenhoch:

My favourite bike of the year .. all OG Survivor.. Richie Greenhalgh’s GT World Tour!
This got a medal at MK inspite of Steve Gartside’s loathing of signatures on BMXs! Lol
Just gorgeous .. amazing condition.. he told me that Karina told him to ride it or it would be sold! ... hence it was ridden .. I think it was all NOS not so long ago .. incredible!

Definitely another great pick for the “X” ..I’m sure it got a medal at MK too? Or was it Third place ?

Nice one Dan loved trawling through the archives last year for this. Shame photobucket has robbed us of so many pictures.

I know Chris, it’s a real pity. There’s still loads to go at though.

My entry is Carls latest build ......... 1978 Robinson 8)
His original 78 was always a favourite of mine (some tw4t stole that :knuppel2: >:() so when he said he had got another to replace it i couldnt wait to see what he did with it . The end result for me surpasses his previous 78 , the choice of parts is a list of rare desirable 70's exotic parts and i just love the overall look of the bike .
I love it .... hope you do too :daumenhoch:
Could do with a better pic if poss Carlos :D I know its not totally finished but it should be very soon ...c'mon Carlos :D

It's always vintage for me and despite the new paint job, Ash's '79 STR-1 still screams oldschool eveytime I see it :coolsmiley:

Going with a bit of a bmx underdog for mine, Ant’s Raleigh Burner GS.
An absolute stunning build and great attention to detail.

My nomination that I spotted at MK, you never see these and it's the first one I've actually seen in front of me. A refreshing change from the constant TA skyway. It also happens to be an amazing example.
The owner is Grant Stone

Meticulous build.

Torkerdude180 Kuwahara E.T not sure on the year
Some more pics here http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,194124.0.html
I was lucky enough to be invited by Tony to come watch him part build the Kuwahara E.T with Joffy, unbelievable job by SBD painting the bike an emotional gesture by him, time and effort that went into this build is crazy, in the sunlight it was stunning, seeing it fully built and displayed at MK18 was something else, the bmx Bob Haro rode in the film obviously he had to sign it at MK18

-
Wow, thanks for the nomination Mick, I feel all warm and fuzzy now :2funny:
Sadly as with all my bikes this one was sold and recall posted to Hong Kong to a mate of Dan's out there. A mk1 Goose in nickel plate always has a special place in my BMX memory as the first BMX I ever wanted :coolsmiley:

I’m going for this, it’s beautiful.
I’ve got a lot of love for a Torker, I’d have entered my own, bit that’s too easy, so research took me to this, a Torker Pro X built by Christian (Hunterdubber). Funnily enough, when looking for my Torker, I originally wanted a Pro X, and my 280x that I settled for had iffy chrome, so an option was white powder with chrome backed decals and gold parts, so you could say that Chris has built my Dream bike here.

Bike of the month is a forum run competition to showcase bikes built now, allowing members to vote for their favorite. The BMXFACTOR is similar, but it includes bikes that can be nominated by any member that have been built by any builder, at any time, it’s just a bit of fun over Christmas. You’re more than welcome to nominate this bike and leave it here and add it to BOTM too, should you wish to.

How the voting will work.
Unlike BOTM, there will only be 1 vote per person during each round. The plan is to split the amount of bikes each round. E.g; if 30 bikes end up in the vote off, the 16 with the most votes will go through. Rounding it up to the next even number will make it easier to split in the next round, and also gives us an extra bike in the vote off. The rounds and voting will continue (usually 3 rounds) until we have 5 or 6 bikes for a grand final.
If we have the unlikely outcome in round 1 where 1 bike receives multiple votes, then all the other bikes receive 1 each, then they all go through to round 2.
Of course, this is all depends on the amount of bikes submitted and voting activity. :daumenhoch:
