Title: how to set up old school bmx shimano dx brake levers? HELP

how to set up old school bmx shimano dx brake lever, I have got the break cable into the lever but where the fook does the plastic bit go? please help. cheers.

Difficult to describe,but i'll have a go....if you look inside the housing of the lever,you'll see what looks like a pair of little forks(nearest the grip).The barrel of the brake cable needs to be threaded around this and hook onto the back/behind these little forks.The end of the outer of the brake cable then butts up against/inside the black plastic portion of the "moving" inner end of the lever itself. Hope that makes sense.
