The Leigh ride is here !!! Saturday 26th July 12 Noon at the Bowling green . Manchester Rd Leigh .
Starting off at the famous Bowling green . A ride through Lilford woods to the trails where I used to ride as a kid ...
Back through Leigh to Yates , George and Dragon and then to the waterside .. 2 mile ride down the canal back to the bowling green for a buffet and back to my house for a PARTY ....
All the pubs have big beer gardens

There isn't a train station in Leigh , Atherton is the closest .. 10min ride downhill to Leigh .
It won't just be a pub crawl , I'll make sure we do some riding ... ;D
There is always an artist / singer on at the Green Saturday evening and they had said they will

No worries Carlos, you have to book what suits you. The open day at work was originally in August but they've just moved it. It's caused a whole heap of strife with her ex and kids etc. It's just another buggeration.

And I've spoke to the pub and they are happy to do food for us there , I'd fooking struggle to do a BBQ for 50 people .

Massive thanks to Carlos for sorting it , the ride it'self was awesome but to top it all off Carl had sorted a buffet for us all back at The Bowling Green when we got back :shocked:
Im sure i speak for all of the RADsters in attendance when i say this was really appreciated mate ........ A great gesture from a great lad ;)

Well , the first RADleigh ride went down well .. And it wasn't all just pubs and beer ..
A few offs and a broken phone in the woods , I nearly killed Jono making him ride 10 miles ;D
His head was the same colour as his purple t shirt . :2funny:

What a brilliant day.
Carl, your ride was ace mate. Thank you so much for the buffet, and letting me crash in your spare room, you're a true gent.
It was great to see so many old faces, and meet some new ones. The Bowling Green is a properly decent juicer tbf, and had a nice glass collector, with a cracking arse.
My ribs were killing after laughing at the couple of offs in the woods. We got a flash of bra from some bird on a canal barge. I got a guided tour of Jono's bus.
Ace to see Mike, Matt and Dave, who'd all travelled up to ride with us. Made up to see Wini again, as Gary Barlow said once, he's back for good.
Tony Lee, you're a fooking legend, how can you fall off a bike twice in 30 minutes, one of which the bike wasn't even moving.

Cracking ride with some good old fashioned riding down the woods and a few offs here and there. Sam and Rob crashed and tailed it down the embankment nearly ended up in the river. Carl Hughes doing the jump in the woods, just missing a tree then over the bars (crash of the day). Even Jono was getting airborne. :LolLolLolLol:
A pit stop for ice cream after the woods then onto the next pub where we had some old bird flashing her big knickers at us off a barge :shocked: then back to the Bowling Green for a dog fight, a great buffet with plenty of local fluff knockin about and good booze up. :daumenhoch:
Great day and Asa loved it too (big thanks to Carl Hughes for dropping him off on his way home so I could stay out and get pissed). Nice one.

It was the best ride of last year for me, loved Lilford woods, riding along the canal and everyone doing the jump at Pennington flash, and stopping for ice creams :LolLolLolLol:
