I bought some white alloy hubbed tuffs off this bloke about 4 weeks ago now for £80 and still nothing has turned up :-[

Through some help on here by a member, I've been given his mobile number and I sent him a text and his replied with....
Katau: "Sorry I had some problems at home, no internet atm, I will refund next week, because I don't know if or when I will take the wheels back. Thank you for understanding"
Me: "Sorry I don't understand what you mean. Can you refund me back asap as this is a bit of an issue now really. Need 80 quid back as a gift as I paid you. I think its fair that you do this asap, use someone elses net if need be. Thanks for understanding"
Katau: "Yeah it is an issue by my foult, and i'm sorry, what I try to say is, I will give you full refund next week, as monday I get paid, and in this moment I don't have the money. Again I appologise for the situation" (spelling mistakes as per the message)
Since then i've messaged him twice since Monday and nothing has come back, i'm not fooking happy about this. Does anyone know this geezers address? I ain't being mugged over £80 by anyone. I will be putting this thread on Burnerworld too as his a member on there also.
If anyone has sold to this guy and still has his address let me know.

I called that Sankeys place, they only have an email that will go through to the bar staff and they only open on Thursdays onwards from 8pm! I've texted him again and sent 2 messages through FB also, lets see what he comes back with....

Does he have the tuffs still? Or have you told him you don't want them now? Would be cheaper and easier for him to just send them wouldn't it?

He never mentioned anything about having the tuffs in his possession. Tuffs or cash back would be ideal Lee anything instead of being fobbed off by a scammer that's spent my 80 quid on fooking whatever his likes :2gunsfiring_v1:

Sad as you say but I don't like airing my dirt washing in public Nick but when members on forums are total pricks and dick people around and take their money without delivering any goods, then they deserve everything that comes to them.

200/400 views and your lucky if you get 20 comments ::) How long does it take to type 'nice bike' or some other comment and hit enter ??? Thought that was what this site was all about , restoring /building bikes and getting out there and riding them ???

Tried to deal with it behind closed doors but at times the only way is to name and shame and as a result, other people have helped locate this guys whereabouts and info for my records. I just hope he keeps to his word and refunds as I never wanted this shit, I just wanted my tuffs, none of this would have come about publically if he sent the tuffs that I paid for.

Unfortunately it always seems to be the case Nick :-\ for me, as you know its BMX all the way, I just wanted my tuffs to build my bikes end of, I didn't want none of this shit.

You hav my sympathies Matt. We work with a lot of trust on eher and its sickening when you get stitched.
Also, agree with Nick here, not enough BMX Content being added to this site of any relevance, we all need to get focused on these bikes and this history.

Dom as you say a lot is built on trust, everyone wants the paypal gift thing but after this event I do feel wary about that, if he comes good, then fine i'll continue with gift payments with people I know and trust, others won't be the case. I do agree also not enough bmx content or comments about builds on here once they have been put up, especially after all the effort in people creating them, sad for sure... :-[

As a suggestion perhaps re working the site categories may help. That should prompt people to dig into the hitory a bit more. Maybe change some of the categories and freshen it up. A forum is essentially a place to respond to relevant topics and start discussion, so it makes sense to create new ones from time to time.
Just for the record, thats not a criticism but a sugestion to get us all thinking a bit differently.

As to the other posts about decent threads having hardly any comments, the general lack of interest and the criticisms... this is also true.
There are some great members on here (and its the same ones everytime) who will respond to most threads in a positive way and show
enthusiasm and positivity at your questions and admire your bike building skills and the creations that you or others have made.
Yet some people on here just enjoy criticising, little digs and slagging off at any given opportunity........
I've certainly seen the mood change on here in the last few months.. :-\

I'm relatively new to Rad but already have made some good Rad friends (even though not in person yet :LolLolLolLol: ). I have sold items and purchased items from a few members that I, quite frankly, have found to be polite, easy going, genuine BMX old school that have the same thing in common, BMX. Matt, you are one of those guys.
It's a shame that there are always people looking to take advantage of the likes of us in providing us with fake tat or advertising items that they clearly dont have in order to make a bit of cash. Unfortunately bro, its everywhere and will only get worse as the worldwide web reaches even more desolate holes in this world with desperate people living there.
I hope you get it sorted and maybe this guy could be banned from this site.
And I too have noticed in my short while on here that it is ALWAYS the same people making comments on threads and postings giving advice and encouragement to others even though there are so many other members on this site. I spent 8 months cleaning, polishing, scouring the net and haggling for parts to put together my Team Master. I rebuilt the wheels, spent sh*tloads of money buying part after part to get it right, to finally post it on The Museum and got 2 comments :(
So come on guys, weed out the sh*t off this site and ALWAYS praise anothers build even if its not to your taste. We spend hard earned money and hours to keep BMX alive and we do that through encouragement and sharing our knowledge and skills with each other :daumenhoch:
