This is a 1984 MT Racing UFO. I managed to score this Frameset over the summer last year from a guy in Oz who purchased it directly from the original owner - a chap called Scott Loxley.
Scott raced for the MT Racing factory team and this is the actual Frameset that Scott raced BITD and is also the Frameset that Scott can be seen riding in the pics below.
Bit of info about Scott - After riding with Madison and Crossrider teams, Scott Loxley moved on to MT Racing, using an MT Racing "Silverfox" until the UFO became avaliable. The UFO was longer, lower and a more refined race machine. After MT Racing Scott then moved on to Skyway and started racing in the USA. He ended up selling this bike to a local friend. 20 years or so later Scott went on the hunt for a UFO to race in the Retro Race series in Australia. After a few years of looking he bumped into the old friend he originally sold the bike to and asked what had happened to it ?. "It's still in the shed". So he went and checked it out only to find that it was covered in red spray paint ! It then took a lot of convincing to get the bike back in to his hands as the friend suddenly didn't want to let go of it. Anyway, fast forward a few months and it is now restored to it's original race spec and resides in the UK with me :)
After speaking to Scott over the last few months I decided to build it as a replica of his original race bike. He did run with various parts over his career with MT Racing but the parts I have fitted have all been approved by Scott.
Big thanks to Scott for his help with the build :4_17_5: hope it brings back some memories.
Also, thanks to Dan for the powder on the rims and to Del for the decals :4_17_5:
Hope you like it :)
Here is Scott BITD -

Bloody lovely Nath "wantit". Well done. It's so cool having the exact same bike and plate as seen in those bitd photos. Joff's right - the bike couldn't have found a better home. Looking forward to seeing your future builds take shape over the coming months. Unbelievable that 2 Aeropros have surfaced in recent weeks :daumenhoch:
Magic :)

Loving it Nath. Great bit of history and it looks awesome.
Alongside the AP, I think it might be my favourite :coolsmiley:
Cracking build mate :daumenhoch:

Your right Andy, being the actual Frameset that was ridden by Scott does make it that bit special for me :smitten:
