Title: Looptail PK Ripper rescue.
Post by: QR on November 11, 2009, 09:41 PM
hi,

i would like to tell you a story... (please, excuse my poor englis language!)
Almost two years ago, i've found this...
(http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/8866/dsc02273.jpg) (http://img59.imageshack.us/i/dsc02273.jpg/)

a magic PK Ripper Looptail from the 80s. But with lot of damage! Broken top tube and seat post!!

(http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2075/dsc02276oz.jpg) (http://img16.imageshack.us/i/dsc02276oz.jpg/)

Luckely, a friend of mine knows all the secrets of steel. I left the bike to him and let him works...

(http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/1773/01bn5.jpg) (http://img22.imageshack.us/i/01bn5.jpg/)
(http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/8269/s7300233ko2.jpg) (http://img23.imageshack.us/i/s7300233ko2.jpg/)

Big work. He had to change the seat post tube...

(http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/898/dsc03688u.jpg) (http://img180.imageshack.us/i/dsc03688u.jpg/)
(http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/1218/s7300271fc1.jpg) (http://img5.imageshack.us/i/s7300271fc1.jpg/)
(http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7294/s7300273jt9.jpg) (http://img23.imageshack.us/i/s7300273jt9.jpg/)
(http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/6186/img0864ti7.jpg) (http://img59.imageshack.us/i/img0864ti7.jpg/)
(http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/9997/img0863zd4.jpg) (http://img22.imageshack.us/i/img0863zd4.jpg/)
(http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/4622/img0862fa6.jpg) (http://img15.imageshack.us/i/img0862fa6.jpg/)
(http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/8937/img0861zm0.jpg) (http://img22.imageshack.us/i/img0861zm0.jpg/)

when the work was done, he had to prepare the frame to be painted...

(http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/3899/photo2aw.jpg) (http://img132.imageshack.us/i/photo2aw.jpg/)
(http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/8408/photocxw.jpg) (http://img21.imageshack.us/i/photocxw.jpg/)

back from painting!

(http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/8653/photoembaljpg.jpg) (http://img59.imageshack.us/i/photoembaljpg.jpg/)
(http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/1548/photopkpaint2.jpg) (http://img85.imageshack.us/i/photopkpaint2.jpg/)
(http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/6641/photopkpaint1.jpg) (http://img38.imageshack.us/i/photopkpaint1.jpg/)

...it's my turn to work a little bit!! lol

(http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/4928/dsc04033.jpg) (http://img180.imageshack.us/i/dsc04033.jpg/)
(http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/723/dsc04037xu.jpg) (http://img41.imageshack.us/i/dsc04037xu.jpg/)

i certainly stand hours in front of this bike!! ...it is so amazing!! i definitely love this bmx!! ...i'd like to thank very very much my friend Yannick L. who restored this frame perfectly!!
