Title: how to strip a super burner?
Post by: optimusprimer on October 22, 2005, 07:59 PM
my lad arrived home the other night announcing 'look what i found dad' it turned out to be a super burner f+f dumped in a field. i have just sold my chopper and fancy a bmx and this seems a good a time as any. unfortunately the frame has been victim to alot of picking and the gold is half missing, so i am intending to strip it and build a chrome burner.

whats the easiest way to strip the gold off? and before anyone says dont, its a bit late for that!

this will be the first bike i have built up so expect alot of 'what do i need' posts! :)

perhaps boiling water will loosen the plastic a bit!!

or a heat gun.

or just pick at it, like a scab that you won't let heal.
