:LolLolLolLol:
Well to me they're the Porsche of Old school BMX :4_17_5:
Started last year with this build and finally built it together this week.
It was going to be a different spec as I've gradually collected the parts and changed what I wanted it like
Oakley B1 B's , Cooks cranks , Bullseyes ,Araya ADX , Shimano DX lever,
But as you see some things came up for grabs that changed my mind
Campagnolo Tipo hubs :smitten:
NOS still in the box  ( Not $800 from Juan Mattos ) black Hutch grips
Araya 7L's :smitten:
Grippa tyres ,,Box cranks etc :)
Now I just want a sunny day and a couple of new decals to get my collection out in the sunshine and take some proper nice pics
I had a clearout out of 8 bikes in 2008 :-\
but these are 2 of my favorite bikes to join my keepers ,the bikes I thought were THE icons BITD
Supergoose 1,
Diamond back Harry Leary Turbo
Gen 1 Haro Freestyler
Skyway T/A XL
PK Ripper (Looptail)
GT Pro Nora
Hutch Pro
Raleigh Grifter
Big thanks ( in no order )
Dan dare ,Big Plinky , Diggler , Darren Woody Wood , DB250, Marty Laa, Andy Rooski, Poolysherriff, and Big DP :4_17_5: :4_17_5: :4_17_5:

:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
Well what it is, ,,they are at different ends of the scale
it's the fact that one cost nearly 20 times more that the other ;D, but I honestly like em both the same :smitten:
I had a blue grifter exactly the same in 79, this has been semi restored with a couple of NOS bits, but leaving the frame as is , I think :)
-
I think you must just be a bit older than me :LolLolLolLol:
Grifters were too big and heavy for me when I was a kid and when I was big enough there was BMX :D
I understand the connection though.
I was probably bombing around on a Tomahawk in 79 ;D
Don't think I'd fit on one now.
-
