Title: Kuwahara Exhibitionist
Post by: Hiro Tonka on April 19, 2012, 02:55 PM
Thought I'd share my latest build with you guys. Loving the baby blue colour and many thanks for SBD for doing a stunning job, it's as perfect as it could ever be.

I'm in two minds about the bars as I also have a set of Gt early 80's Pro bars, rechromed. Thought the GT bars might look better and with baby blue AME grips, what do you think?

Thanks to Pooly for dated DC cables
Adam for the bars and also the Flyte Tech seat
SouthernAndy for the frame standers (not pictured)
Stef232 for the wheels

That's ace  :4_17_5: as nice as the Hutch bars are, I'm with you - think some chrome bars would set it off  ;)

The chrome would go but tbh i sort of like the pink too. I think it throws a bit of that typical 80's freestyle randomness into the mix.

:smitten:  :smitten: love it , :4_17_5: , the bars are ok but would definitely look better if white chrome or blue , cracking bike i'd love on of these

I'm with Glynn about the bars too, the pink gives it a proper 80's feel, I was watching BMX Beat the other day, a lot of the riders had random parts and colours thrown on their builds. :coolsmiley:

But then again, the bars would go nicely with your seat post. :-\

Cheers mate,
I always try and limit the colours as I don't want them to end up with an overload of rainbowness.

Here's my other Kuwie:

Brett will also comment Steven telling you that as it's a freestyle bike it needs a Potts mod. ::) :daumenhoch:

Cheers for the comment.

I do have a Forklifter stem and was toying with the idea with using that as i think they came stock on the Exhibitionist?

Didn't use it as I thought it wouldn't go and would look crap

Leave as is! That bike looks 80's freestyle and looks ready to ride. There are too many perfect bikes out there, this is one of my fave freestyle builds for sure!

I do need two, when the great floods come they can cycle themselves into the Arc together.

I did have some tioga frame standers done in white but they won't fit due to the coaster brake tab on the frame
