I am not really caring how old it is... Its an old US bike..
But its a bike with history ;) that counts.

I think the bikes an 81.
There seems to be an inconsistency with these on what the reason is for some of them to be decalled up on the top tube with either reynolds 531 or chromolly.
The chinese reds were labelled either but the white one's seem to come only with reynolds 531 that ive seen so far.
The blue bits and the extra support along with the 1 in the serial are three points that seem to indicate the 81 version.
Here's a pic of it.
I moved mine on but recently aquired another, can't beat a good bit of R gusset love :smitten:
Im going chinese Red with my next one.

Yup i'm every where ;D
I do have a PRO Burner and a Rampar R11XL (OZ '80 Version) and also sold Neil another Pro Burner (bike of the month winner) so I do like them
As of yet I haven't started the R111XL but i'm getting bits ready and have a plan of what I want it to look like
they are a cool looking ride with the "R" Gusset

Cheers mate, if you say so, I believe it, was your threads i was referring to in the first place, and your reasoning that made me 'feel' '81 in the first place anyway. :)
