hi,
i'm new to the site and could do with some pointers please.
i need to find a decent powder coating company in the west mid's area to repaint a redline mx-11 frame i've just aquired.
i also need some advice on how to remove a snapped and stuck seatpost from the seat tube.
is heating up the seat tube the best way?
trying to relive my youth, but could not resist the redline (even with a stuck post) as i had one new in the early 80's.
thanks.

Theres a powder coaters that i use in Wolves called Speedway Paint. Its right by the speedway track. Neil is the guy you need to speak to.
Hope this helps, Jez.
-
thanks for the info.
the price they have quoted me seems very good.
whats they quality of finish like?
-
yeah i would like to know how it came out to. how much was the quote for a frame & forks ?.
-
they quoted me £60 to shot blast, prep and powder coat 2 sets of frames & forks in white.
sounds like a bargain to me, but just want to check on finish quality before going ahead.
it won't be cheap if it's so poor they need doing again.

i'll post a picture of their work.

heres some photo's gaf(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/c200/jeremyharrold/104_0422.jpg)(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/c200/jeremyharrold/104_0427.jpg)
I think their works o.k. You may need to do a little bid of cut and polish to make it perfect, although the GT in the picture hasn't been touched.
