Title: When did these Redline grips come out?

Sorting through some bits and found these Redline grips. Don't know when I got them...  They're either late old school or mid and made in the USA.  Anyone got some more info?

I think I remember seeing them arround 1992 .... Could be wrong though.

These grips came on my 1996 RL240.
