Hey guys, slowly collecting parts for a couple of '80 Motomag builds.....
So which brakes are better, Dia-compe 890 or the Weinmann equivalent?
Ta :daumenhoch:

Good one that. Had Weinmanns and they were good. Diacompe prob more inline with a usa built bike.
-
I went with dia compe's and they work fine - also weinmann 974's do a great job
both have the right look

unless you're using motomags then i'd go with no calipers at all and just have the coaster :daumenhoch:
-
What Rob said or a Shimano Tourney caliper and a pre bent brake lever...
-
Cheers lads, one of them is gonna be a more original build than the other, thanks for your input :daumenhoch:
-
I would go with a Dia Compe 890. If you decide to run both a coaster and caliper. :daumenhoch:
-
Not gonna use a coaster, i can't get on with them....
