So I built a performer fast for the Cleethorpes ride and fitted new style tuffs. Once the ride was over I set about looking for some good 80s white tuffs. This turned out to be a nightmare with lots of rubbish out there or poorly restored tuffs at high prices. I eventually found a cream set, well they looked cream when I found them. I decided to take a risk and try the peroxide route, as you can see from the pics it worked. It took 5 soakings per side due to the condition they were in, I rinsed in the shower between each soaking........lack of good sunlight didn't help !!!!

Top work and great resto efforts. I've bleached a set before but the peroxide looks to work loads better. Great effort on all the metal work as well, how were the cogs and axles etc cleaned up?
