see words out already ,theres a que forming  :LolLolLolLol:

Been chatting with Alan Woods on this one guys and heres the idea. Meeting up at Alans bmx shop wigan facing Wigan Wallgate station and 100 yards from Wigan Northwestern station. Alan is going to have an old school "display" and is providing stickers and prizes , Carl in2bmx is also kindly printing RADTOR stickers for the ride and will also BY ORDER ONLY be printing t shirts with the RADTOR logo on  :daumenhoch: manythanks Carl. RADTOR decal designed by Radster JAYMZ big thanks to Jaymz on the logo  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

yes you read correct this guy is coming out of hidding and is fully supporting this old school ride , weather or not we can get him to pedal with us we have yet to see  :LolLolLolLol:

once everyone has arrived meat and potatoe pies bought for the journey ,stickers stuck on bikes we will then ride approx a mile (down hill) to the first stopping point ally park

were sum of the local kids will no doubt show us how its done  , once totally shown up by the local kids back on our old school rides to stop 2 ...... a trip down memory lane for so many of us local and national bmx kids ,and home to this famous pile of dirt

isnt much left of the old track so more a trip down memory lane and a look at what happens when you turn you back on the sport  :'(
from here we will carry on our journey to the site of the original Alans Bmx shop . Again a trip down memory lane for anyone who owns a Torker or Robinson as all these bikes were imported into the country by Alan bitd and built up by his father .from here a nice easy cruise back into Wigan via yet another skate park ..
As with all RAD meets it goes with out saying we will be stopping at all the watering holes en route , and Joff will get every bit of skirt to sit apon his seat  :LolLolLolLol:
With M.K. only round the corner this is more a nice easy gathering of old school lads cruising around some cool bmx sites talking bmx bollox , and you just never know who may join us on the way  ::)  ??????? ha ha now Carl has let the cat out the bag  :LolLolLolLol:  we will be trying to get as many of the old  Robinson and Torker team to join us at sum point of the day , along with possibly a few other local well know riders . would be great RADSTERS if we could get as many ROBINSONS and TORKERS back home in WIGAN for the day  :)

ok guys getting a few pms now regards hotels so heres 3 . First one is town centre with locked car park  next 2 just out side of town but with open style car park .

It goes back to a miners strike when the miners from Wigan gave up the strike before the hardmen from St Helens and were therefore made to eat 'humble pie'  ;)

That's one of the reasons there is such a big rivalry when it comes to Rugby between the two towns aswell  :daumenhoch:

or it could be what Gaz said , makes more sense to me  :D ;D   Had a few run ins with the women in Wigan and i wouldn't mess , got close to one once and i could still taste the pastry in my mouth a week later  ::)

Also I'll be riding an 84 super tough burner so go easy on me. I've not got my childhood bike yet, a Diamondback Silverstreak 11 funnily enough I bought it from alans dads shop. I turned down a torker 280 x because I didn't like the twin tubes  :uglystupid2:

We had a great time at Radtor, the sun was out all day, great bunch of friendly riders again.. :daumenhoch:

Fantastic to be in the company of so many Pro riders, actually the first person I spoke to was Scott Williams and seeing I was on a Black GT Pro Nora Cup he was made up and the conversations about his time racing was really good, pictures of his bikes from BITD and the present  collection..... :smitten:

Obviously to see Scott take the GT for a spin around  Ally park tarmac was great and I hope it brought back some very happy memories for Scott  :coolsmiley:

We won some priceless stuff from Alan Woods,we have some brilliant Torker information, a Mirage  plate, original 80's Artwork drawings for GT and Mirage ....brilliant  ;)

To see Carls Robinson collection in Alans took me right back to the old shop days, my most memorable point was when I was carrying my daughters  Robinson up the stairs in the shop and Alan just beamed the broadest smiled at us, Alan sold this bike to my mate from the Hindley shop 31 years ago......Thats Nostalgia right there  :daumenhoch:

Carl your the Diamond mate and all those Robinsons are a wealth for us all... :daumenhoch: ....

What about that Rave...... ??? my gooooddd that was a bit of a wild bunch

Big thanks to Lenny and Carl for putting that together, do I hear there's another for later in the summer for Wigan.........go on you know we'll be there..... :smitten:
