A thread dedicated to the Goonies of RADBMX also known as the Usual Suspects... most of whom know who they are... and tend to lurk in various skateparks when the kids have gone home and we should all be in bed or drinking.

First meeting in session... T Shirts... I pm'd you all but its too much work to reply to everyone so post up your thoughts here... the design I did was below... other peeps like Munnys design... or something else... so lets get some feedback and get Davey Beard on the case to 'knock a few out' :angel:

A call to ride brothers.
The old Bones skatepark in Stockport has a private lock-in booked for sat 7th July. Be there if you can.
Also Jim is trying to gauge the interest in a saturday sesh at the new Doncaster park so keep your ear to the ground fir the drums on this one.

Yep, in for it as much as I can do too but my boy has full blown C-Pox and a temperature of 8million degrees so tonight is looking no go. Bike in the car mind, just in case he mans up, but he's only 21months old so not really expecting to get away with it..... ;-(

Suspects
Looks like we're gonna be having a lock-in in the mecca of Yorkshire known as Sheffield... and even better, it's a mile from my house and a mile from Hootski's :LolLolLolLol:
New skatepark opens on saturday morning and Hootski's already been in there to chat to the owners - currently working on about £200 for a saturday night lock-in so it's 20 at a tenner a head :daumenhoch:

Discount discussed. £10 a rider for a friday or sat evening 9-12 sesh but they'd want 15 of us min, 20 Max. Gonna ride it tomorrow as they were sealing the edges tonight.
Gonna post a proper thread later to get a date but it is all ridable for us and has a small foam pit in the corner for Griff..... Get in!

Pete, shut up man. They'll be moving up here, stealing our jobs and taking our birds if they find out......
Nope, haven't ridden the park yet but was there on saturday when it opened but had my little girl with me and she was a bit worried about riding her scooter there as there were BMXs everywhere.....
All the park looks rideable and Amy (the owner) has agreed on a saturday in Sept as being ideal for our first lock-in so i'll let you all know as the place can only hold 15 to 20 of us i'd say. It's the size of the main room we were mostly in at Bones but the bowl takes a bit of space up so probably the same amount of riding as the Boardroom.
Gonna ride there one night this week and sort it so I'll let you all know. Anyone wanting to pop down for the last hour (8-9pm) one night this week pm me (that means you Jim and Dordy!)

Sadly due to conduct unbefitting RADBMX (i.e. ripping other members off and refusing to sort things out ) Lucas LK_97 has been banned from RAD and as such is not welcome at any further Usual Suspect meets.
He is young and may learn over time that you don't shiit in your own bed.

as some of you may or may not know our beloved leader Edvart Redace always gives me grief over my shin pads , "world war 1 relics" is the usual comment , needless to say the disappointed look on Edvarts face as i dig my old pads out me bag and wave em in Edvarts direction is fookn priceless ;D , but in keeping with the gradual move to all things new the 2Z's are being retired :'( , the velcro's not sticky any more the pads however are very sticky :P, ;D, have served their purpose as can be seen from the nicks and cuts in em, and had em since the great RL brought em out :daumenhoch:

Colourway is looking like black frame / white RAD decals / grey bars / chrome.
...we just need to keep collecting 'pledges/offers' then improve it to get the best possible / lightest possible ... swapping up as we go :-)
PLEASE don't sweat it if you can't find anything or only have donated something small, or can't find anything at all! - its from ALL of us and thats that... all of us Usual Suspects who have bothered to reply that is :-) if anyone want to donate cash we will use it buy upgrades for the bike.
Wheels are mid school 14t freewheel so .... can offer a NS rear wheel with cassette... anyone who wants to contribute some cash we can use that to buy some NS wheels.... if we got 4 x £10 contributions we could get a cheap wheelset from BMX City :daumenhoch:

The new owners are Skaters, near on our era, 37 I think Dave said, but you have to think they'll be skater focused, which may be their downfall, as much as I hate it, scooters make up the majority of the turnover there, and therefore should be where their focus remains, with thought to other types of transport.

its not a spine or volcano ... its a hip. Don't ask me what sort... I'm thinking a banked hip as the new owner is a skater and my former business partner ( when I had a skate shop ) is co-modeller...
I'm pretty excited about it to be honest... the park has had 3 different owners and 3 different designs since it opened about 12 years ago and the constant change has kept things fresh ... yes the new owner is a skater... but so was Dave ... whatever happens it will be fully rideable and I for one will be there for as many sessions as my body allows.
Back up, reverse, open your minds then ever forward into whatever new possibilities the new designs bring.

yours seems to have a bigger thread on it on tho Griff... its more like the old stem bolt size than other ones I've seen ???

Yep - the Supercross/Master/Riot has gone to a new home ... and a new toy is on its way.
I was talking to Len and he said its fine to get bored ... we all go through phases .. he wants to be Craig Grasso at the moment and I want to be early 90s Mat Hoffman :daumenhoch: and now I've got 2 bikes I can do it on ... but as ever the important thing is, whatever you are riding...
