i have 2 bikes
an old school Haro Group 1 RS2 that has 2.125 tioga comp 3 copies on front and back - i am riding this for the winter series
and a Haro 2009 pro xl that has intense micro knobby 20x1.95 on the front and 20 x 1.75 on the rear - i will race this in masters in the summer
understandably they handle very differently, the old skool is heavy but reliably stable for a 20" bike, the nu skool is twitchy as heck but very fast and responsive.
i'm 5'6" and about 14 1/2 stone (needing exercise), i need a way of making the 2009 bike more stable for me and the old skool bike a bit more zippy.
any advice on what tyres or widths of tyre i should try out and any explanation for this fat/thin combination on the newer bikes?

Haro RS2 = Comp 3's
Front: 1.95
Rear: 1.75
Haro 09 = Intense = Perfect size set-up but i'd only use in the summer.
For Winter: Maxxis Holly Rollers
Front: 1.95
Rear: 1.75

:) Would`ve thought the Haro 09 is more responsive rather than "twitchy"? Prob because it has a steeper headangle...I`ve ridden a few RS2s and found them a bit lacking on the handling front.
