Title: Powerlite Race Frame Info needed
Post by: thecrooch on December 28, 2009, 10:26 PM
im in the process of building up Rob Indri's Powerlite frame from when he was Factory.  The frame i think dates from Early 90 about 92  and is stamped 07978370 with XL underneath.   If anyone can let me know what frame model it is i'd really appreciate it. so i can get the right decals.

also its painted yellow - does anyone have the RAL code for what colour yellow it should be....?

Cheers for any help, i grew up with Rob in South Woodham Ferrers in the 80's and this january will be 10 years since he took his life.   I want to get this done as a permanent reminder of his brilliance.

cheers guys and girls

Si

ok looking through BMX Museum ive worked out its a 1997 (serial - should have guessed) P61 XL Alloy Frame.... without the cable guide on the rear brace.

Still need the RAL code for the yellow - its a sort of pale Mustard colour....

Anyone?

Ive got a brand new unfitted powerlite seat, its the same as the one fitted to the 95' p61's in the museum. If you are interested.

July 97 as you have found out Si.
Closest RAL code I would say is 1016, but i'm no expert.
I have a factory powerlite jersey (medium though), ali powerlite cranks with powerlite chainring.
Cranks are made by FSA and have a tapered bearing which I cannot find anywhere.  :(
Rob may have used GT profiles but if any of this is of interest just drop us a PM.
 :)
