Just peeled some old destroyed decals off a f/f set. The downtube has been left with a thick sticky backing on it. Whats the best thing/solution to remove this ? Thanks :)

Nail varnish remover and a sponge, be gentle and it should just wipe off :daumenhoch:
-
WD40 breaks it down, and scrape away at it with something that won't scratch, something plastic or wood like a lolly stick
-
Also any decent Car polish ;)

as paul said nail varnish remover ,,,,or if you can get hold of acetone ,,which nail varnis remover is just perfumed and dilluted :daumenhoch:

white spirit works as well mate. i use the odourless type :daumenhoch:
-
petrol.
stinks but thats what we used to use when getting the sticky sign writing letters off vans etc.
-
lump hammer flattens it a treat mate ! :daumenhoch:
-
Blow torch, grand piano falling from a crane or if that fails an M16.
Otherwise I use white spirit.
