i've seen these little bikes about on the net and watched the hilarious pit bike races that are on youtube.
obviously these bikes can take a grown man (which ones?) but i wonder how good they'd also be for kids to start on?
any suggestions on a bike my kids and i can ride about on?

There are a few special limited run pit bikes for the 'bigger kid' aka adults!!!!
Two companies are Brew and Kappa. They made a few long pit bikes for adults.
I have a Brew (below) and its rad as hell. Jumps really well, has a long top tube and takes 175 cranks :daumenhoch:

If you want to ride it aswell as your kids look for along TT. The GT Jamie Bestwick is a beast with 17 Inch TT and well built. Alot of pitbikes are really heavy so little ones might struggle
