I'm looking to get a flatland bike for my youngest brother's birthday that is next week. I think he had a Redline back in the mid 90's but I'm not sure of the models from this era, could it have been a 640/680 or something??
If I can't find one of whatever he had, what recommendations would you make for a big bleeder at about 6'4"??
Thanks
Paul

the 640 was like the Rl240 (in 1996) but full cromo, "oversized" headtube (normal for noobs) and ad mounts
wiiiicked bike with perfect geometry
good size for mini / street and even flat
if you want a new one though, go for one of those new KHE bikes. mmmm

Thanks, so do you think it would have been a 640??
Not after new, but some ideas of the models I should look out for on the Bay would be useful.
Cheers

yes definately an RL640
i would love one of them
i have a 240, and they are a wicked size and shape
the 640 was the chromo version and it rocked.
circa 1996
it was a 36" bike (most were back then)
so would be good for flatland
you could go shorter though.
i started building my flatland bike today (summer is coming) and it is 33". angry headtube angle!

Cheers for that.
I take it the 640's are not a common sight the ;)
Any suggestions for alternative bikes?
