Title: Names needed to get funding so we can restore Shepshed Track

Hi All,

We are trying to get council funding to restore the old Shepshed BMX track, it was built by us in 83-84 and used till 89 as an NBMXA venue. its all still there just needs rebuilding.

Its proper old school!!

To get the councils attention and possible funding from Loughborough Uni we need members signing up to the website. (its free)

The more we get the more clout we have at the council meeting on the 8th of Feb.

Come on guys & gals , support this and it could mean another track ( does'nt matter if you're not from the area , just get registered ) .

Thanks fella.

The track can be found on google maps, put in Shepshed and oakley road (cool name) and you will see the track on the playing field.

Im the guy in red on the website styling on my old Silver Streak!!

Loughborough Uni is hosting some teams for the 2012 Olympics and needs a practice track.....but we have to do our bit too as we get a great track for the community and beyond.

Thanks guys, were up to 46 members so I have to bump this up, we need Leicestershire County Council and the Uni to see we have support from the best old bmxers "in the world"

Would be cool if it was restored old school style with plenty of tabletops and not full of stupid triples that only get used once a year when there's a National race there.
