Just picked up some GT Flip-flop hubs that are quite different to the last set I had.
As you can see they are alloy 'not' chrome and have a collar:

Different to these:

Whats the timeline difference / era / generation etc.
Cheers

The top pics are early GT hubs, the early ones did not dip in the centre as the top ones show, they are 84ish, the bottom hubs are from around 86 onwards i think. The early 84 ones are rare and some say maybe the best hubs from that era :daumenhoch:

petes still serching through his magazines :2funny:
gt made over 20 diffrent hubs the hubs you got with the collars should have sealed bearings and hollow axles, whip the collars off and have a look, if they have, then those hubs you have right there were the daddy`s in there time and they were used on all gt race bikes (and early performers/dyno`s untill they brought out the 36h superlace hubs). you got a top set of strong and yet light hubs there mate, ive got a pair going on my rider

Shame seems the front collars have been over tightened at some point, but that's life.
Any idea on a value - I've never collect GT so have no idea - any pointers would be much appreciated.
