I got this Bassett f&f given to me by Chris Moeller @ S&M bikes in June 09.

Chris had given his Bassett to an old friend over 20 years ago and when the friend offered it back Chris jumped at the chance. The forks werent Chris's original forks, they were some that I got of Billy Griggs. Billy rode for Bassett briefly before CW picked him up and these were some of his old forks, anyway I had Billy send them sent directly to Chris as I knew he was missing the forks to go with his frame, some of my repoped decals were also sent over. I had done a couple of favours for Chris with the lead up to the 25 years celebrations @ S&M and when I visited last year I stuck my head round the door to say hi. Straight away he said he had something for me. Knowing I was a Bassett 'hound' (sorry ::)) he wanted me to have his old Bassett f&f that he raced circa 1983 by way of saying thanks for the favours.
I felt very quilty accepting it telling Chris that it was part of his history but he insisted. Chris also had a root through his office desk digging out a Bassett sew on patch and this piccy of him racing it circa 83 at the Orange County YMCA track in Cali. Chris is the rider on the left in the pedalpower colours - not the dude in the Bassett jersey!

Anyway its been packed away for a while but I dropped it off with the legend that is Super Bike Dan for him to work his magic ;) And boy does it look good! :4_17_5:
Called Dan today to say it had arrived at JJ's BMX emporium and thank him for his excellent work, cant thank him enough :coolsmiley:
Here its pictured with a NOS Bassett that I recently stickered up with original NOS decals. The black f&f will be getting some repop decals that I screenprinted myself a few years ago. Cant wait to get the build going :)

I dont know much about Bassett, but they look wicked, especially like the decals, very unusual.
