i measured my skyways (metal hub ones) and they are nearly 17" across, dos this mean there pit bike ones? as my normal tyres fit tho

When I saw a set of Skyways again (without tyres) up close for the first time in years I have to confess it threw me as well ;D
Damn they looked tiny. Thought, have I really grown THAT much ;D

i also thought the spokes looked much skinnier than i remembered.... ???

It's the outside diameter of the tyre that denotes the size not the diameter of the wheel ;)

i agree with sizing as a kid and now im a little bigger put my first bike together looked at it and thought what the fook have i done wrong its tiny i must have wrong wheels so i measured a z rim its 16 .5 inch i though bugger ive got mini wheels ive been ripped off and actually e mailed the bloke i got the wheels of asking him why he sold me 20 inch wheels when they were nt what a dick i was
