got a PRO NECK II and was wondering how they came - as mine has lines on the top part - bottom has lines as well but not so deep (see pic's below)
also noticed that it seems to have a crack in to places on the top half - not going to be ridden hard but is there a danger of it going - any one had this happen ?
so back to the lines - if not normal, would this have been done for some one to get more grip if standing on it ? - should i sand down to a flat surface to polish or polish as is with the lines there ?

Original finish is that. crack cause by overtightening - can be repaired with alloy welding, talk to SteveP my mate repaired his one and it came out mint, Steve even refinished in the original finish :daumenhoch:

like marty said,the lines are the og finish,the flat or chrome ones you often see for sale have been polished up to look like that :daumenhoch:
