saw that,thought that too

Street Beats are cool and make great rides! just hate it when people stick TA decals on em :idiot2:
-
Don't like it - all wrong - someone please rescue it :'(
Oh, and it's a Streetstyler and not a Streetbeat
-
Well guys, I am new/old to the old school bikes and the person that bought it, although I did not know it was not a streetbeat, does this make a difference to its value? Have I been ripped off ?
I have not picked it up/paid for it yet so if its wrong and its not as advertised then I will duck out and keep looking. I was planning on getting the correct stickers for it but then just ride it as is.
Thanks for your help.
-
Streetstyler/streetbeat, I'd probably day £50 difference? But then again I'm a bit out of touch with prices.
-
looking at Biaggio's prices on ebay, he's got street stylers on for £200 for the F&F!
-
Wow, thanks for the quick reponses. I guess it wasnt such a bargain as I first thought, maybe I need to have a chat with the seller about his description and get some money knocked off......or should I keep looking?
Cheers?

that's totally up to you
For futrue referencr....the Streetstyler, as fare as I'm aware, had a different tubing... check out the seattube on a Beat compared to a Styler and also the downtube.. the styler might have even been hi-ten steel or trimoly compared to the chromoly Beat... I'm sure the skyway fans will put me right.

Decent bike for £350 spend a few bob on a better seat and you will be the raddest man on the block :daumenhoch:
-
Decent bike at a good price mate.. A few tweeks to make it your own
and bobs ya uncle ya back in the ildschool :daumenhoch:
-
Thanks guys, feel a whole lot better about it now, shame its a streetstyler though, really wanted a streetbeat...not that I now the difference! :idiot2:
-
I am still trying to find the differences so that I can be sure of the model......anyone know how I can tell just looking at it?
The frame number is 4384352.
Thanks
-
seattube, downtube and forks are the give away:-
Streetbeat's seattube is like a Skyway TA's, strrestyler is just a normal round one
Streetstlyer downtube is not as thick as a Streetbeat
Forks are different
-
The easiest way to tell if it's a Streetbeat or Streetstyler is to look at the toptube and downtube where they join the head tube. If there's a gap, it's a Streetstyler if there's no gap, it's a Streetbeat.
Both were 100% cro-mo, so still a quality frameset :daumenhoch:
-
I guess it is a streetsyler then :( .....not sure what to do now, still looks good value to me but its not wat I was really after. Missed out on a Haro freestyler in the meantime as well :-\.
Cheers guys.

Well someone else is probably the proud new owner of that skyway. Ipassed on it and the seller was very good about it.
I have since got myself an 85 Haro FST frame in green, and some UK made white skyways to go on it. My plan is to build it up to my own spec slowly.
I have been very confused about the skyways though, from what I gather the alloy hubbed ones are most desireable, but are the UK made ones ok?
-
the Uk ones are fine, and if you were building that FST back in the day you probably would have wanted the latest tuffs out there.. which were the plastic hubbed ones which came out about that time.
-
Thats good to know. Thanks
Any ideas on where I can get the FST sticker from? It currenlty has a master one on it :-(
I will post up some pics (in a new thread) when it arives :-)

As soon a the frame arrives I will get some pictures up and you experts can help advise me on what I need to make that killer bike I always dreamed of (as well as me spending some money with Del on the correct decals ;-)).
