:) Are you going for a complete bike or custom build? You`ve got a load to chose from,Dialled frames are amazing and the new Deluxe frames look good.
-
Id rather get a complete and add my old parts too it as they wear out, i cant be arsed with the hasle of putting it together after iv spent months on the old one n now its fked >:( just wana get bak on the trail n quickly,

thanks heywood :daumenhoch: like the look o da subrosa letum dirt 2010, but isn't white a bit of an ironic idea for a dirt bike?? i mean it will get wreked but it looks ill :crazy2:
sum1 please rate mongoose as i duno who to go wiv, safe

Mongoose sadly are not the company they were back in the 80s.Most of their bikes are aimed at the lower end of the market with the exception of the Fraction,Legion and Shield, all around £480 or so.
-
:tickedoff: THIS IS DOIN MY FOOKIN HEAD RIGHT IN :tickedoff: most trail completes are aiming at lighter weight, but my logic says this will be weaker :idiot2: wata gwan!!! i dont catch too much air anyway so im not fussed about weight, i want to throw it down a mountain quickly n not be worried about any part of the bike failing. i know i probably would be better off with a mountain bike but its not the same. so... f**k.... wot am i looking for now? a street bike instead? heat treated? cromoly (wtf that is i dont know)??? i just want to know that when i face plant into a tree that it is my fault not the bikes. sigh i dont know. sum1 sort me out!!!
-
nice1 on the head alingments m8y, wots cromoly then? a mix?
-
:daumenhoch: fink im gona go custom instead of complete nw, hard to find one this specific,
any1 wana share info on types of wheels and hubs??
:daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: thanks to evryone for all your help so far :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Wheels, many options here.
Firstly, 36 or 48 holes, depending on how strong you want the wheel. I run 36, I ride hard and im not that light (85Kgs) and my wheels hold up fine, just keep your spokes tentioned.
Chrome has a better breaking surface so I recommend that for the rear.
Any double walled rim, Sun, Odyssey, Alienation, Proper, eclat, Hoffman. Tripple walls are stronger but heavier.
Hubs, profile are the best, but any sealed bearing cassette hub will do for your requirements. 10mm or 14mm axles, doesnt really matter as you wont run pegs on dirt.
Tyres, Odyssey dirt path, maxxis, intense micro knobbies or tioga comp3 would be good for dirt
dont get eclat ... mate has one and he split the weld in a week of light riding !
and also glen he may run pegs on dirt for stuff like peg grabs and rocket airs?
-
yeah glen i have seen sean burns ride his an animal !
and :LolLolLolLol: good point
-
Subrosa Novus Street 2010, 600 quid, or go custom with Subrosa 2010 Pandora DTT for 300 but lookin at probs over 700 wen finished :'(
-
get the subrosa dtt .... if you know what u want ? if not then the other -
-
im not arsed about tricks, part from the odd drop or wheelie, i want to rip it on a downhill decent, i dont want to stop riding bmx :smitten: but it may be useless on a bumpy decent - forcing me to go slow, im beggin for the subrosa dtt but am i floggin a dead horse trying to use a bmx as a part time mtb?? :yahoo_silent: i will only be using it in this way during the summer crusing round town rest of year, safe :daumenhoch:

got one of these "on one" jumping frames £30 posted, it's basically like a big bmx, even has bmx BB size, with a set of sus forks might do the job. It does have the seatpost stuck but I'm sure that could b easily removed
-
i really really dont want to touch a mtb :yahoo_silent: unless i have to for suspension reasons, and i dont know if suspension is a necessity or not :'( do i have to have suspension to travel well??
-
eazy guys :buck2: please rate this bike, seems like a good cross between the two :crazy2:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx'modelID=28368
