Can anyone tell me what model GT this is. I know its nothing special, its just that i've bought it to give to a local kid and i'd like to give him a bit of `knowledge' so perhaps he might give it some respect.

Sorry the photo's are shite, I've not had a drink yet!!
I am after another bike of similar level for his brother too if anyone has anything.
The boys go to school with my daughter, they live with their Dad, their mum did one to Spain with her fancy man when the lads were little, their Dad can only work part time around school hours, so is always skint, and he's now bust his ankle and can't work. The poor lads have been sharing a lilac girls MTB, can't be having that!!
They are good kids, and I would like to perk them up a bit, but times are hard so i've been trawling ebay and got the GT for £30, its pretty unused, only slight wear on the front rim anno.
A bit of info would be great.
Cheers fella

both had a clean up, new front cable on the GT, the DB wants some pedals, Asda ones will do the trick tomorrow.
Hope they like them!!
I reckon £63.00 well spent if it gets them in the fresh air and into this weird and wonderful sport (and gives their old man a bit of peace!!)
I'll let you know their response.

Reckon they will be well made up with them :4_17_5:
-
Thats a fantastic gesture :4_17_5:
But just a word of warning :-\ as much as them kids will love them bikes, watch that you don't make out the father to be a charity case as that could have bad repercussions :-\
I know if it was me i wouldn't like it if it hadn't been run past me first >:(
I'm sure you know what i mean :daumenhoch:

Don't worry Snav, better at diplomacy than I am at wasting money on manky old bikes!!!! Cheers though for thinking.
I can get away with it because he knows I gentlemans relish loads of money on old bikes and these were `in the shed' and doing nowt!

I went round to see the Lads Dad, he was fine, we arranged a time to get the bikes over, sorted,
he rang his dad (boys Grandad) to tell him, he'd got the lads a new bike each for easter as a surprise! BU66ER!
so the Diamond Back and GT went in the local rag, made my money back +£40, profit went to Help for Heroes charity, so still helped a bit!!
Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement anyway!!
