Title: BMX Movie Database
Post by: evamedia on February 24, 2010, 01:00 PM
Today we've launched the BMX Movie Database (http://bmxmdb.com) hoping to make the most comprehensive and detailed archive of BMX videos and outstanding web edits.

We'll be honest though, entering the 1000's of videos is an unenviable task, that we're never going to be able to complete on our own. So instead of getting salty that we haven't got your favourite video, register on the site dig out your VCR/DVD player, crack open a cold one, and enter all the details.

DO NOT RIP FILMS you didn't produce, all the sections we have embeded we've found already on the internet, or have received permission from the content owners to rip.

Bicycle Union have kindly let us rip the first mix section from 2003's Don't Break the Oath, with riders Jerry Galley, Ian Morris, Joe Rich and many others to get us started.

Check it out.

Hi Evamedia... the site looks amazing! such a nice design and a great idea.

Just wondering... on the 'add a rider' bit, can you put lists of riding in that box or just one name at a time?  If you can insert lists, do the names need commas in between or anything like that?

Thanks dude, again... great site.

Hi mate,

yep, it will accept comma separated lists of names, added a new bit last night so if you can't add a film in one sitting, it's easy to get back to the ones you've entered. There's a "draft" link in the top left that shows a count of your draft films, just click on that to see the list.

We go through all the entries during the day, and add things we know about. When a film gets in a good enough state, we take it out of draft, but the original person that entered it can still amend the details.

thanks
Nick
