Title: mid school loose bearing hubs
Post by: smiler4130 on February 28, 2010, 06:33 PM
Just out of interest does anyone know if you can replace the steel cups that the bearings sit on inside the hub? ( the ones that crack when you been running your spindle to loose) If so is it an easy job and do i need any special tools apart from myself  :crazy2: to do so?

Yep,most general bike shops, especially old family run ones should be able to help.

Thanks Heywood for the info  :daumenhoch: . But i was looking more to do it myself i am guessing i could knock the old cups out with a screw driver and hammer? Then get the new cups pressed in. Does anyone know if you can buy these cups and if so where? thanks
