Title: fixing thread on alloy seatclamp with solder?

Is there any way to fix a threaded seatclamp using solder or something and then sticking the bollt in so it rethreads it/?

You can get it filled with alloy weld and then re-drilled and re-tapped with a thread however, it may not go as tight as you need to hold the seat post in place  :-\.

you could do it with a heli-coil (thread repairer), otherwise the bolt will pull out as said above when ya tighten it.....
