Hi, I need to start this thread by stating I am the most untechnical person in the world! :idiot2:
So, took the Wilson out for its first ride today. Runs sweet but noticed the crank slips a little. Can anyone explain what causes this and what I need to do to sort it?
Thanks Cheese :uglystupid2:

This has been on there for 29 years so guess it fooked! :-\
Guess I better get looking for a new one! Gutted! :(
I run a set of Arayas, so will a standard 1/8" fit, also whats best 16,17 or 18T ????

depends on your front cog and what you want to use it for 44/16 is the most common old school gearing.
Also check your crank arms ain't loose. You'll probably need a special tool to get the freewheel off so might just be worth taking it to a bike shop to get it checked out.

With the freewheel you might be able to free up the pawls by spraying it in a degreaser and then use a spray grease like Werth :daumenhoch:

Thanks all, purchased a tool from the local bike shop but after hours of heaving on the freewheel took the complete wheel back to the shop to have an 16yr old shop assistant sort it!
I am so crap!
Anyway, new freewheel fitted and road test complete! All sorted now!
A very happy Cheese!
