hi, i have a robinson pro from 93, and i am wondering why is there so many models, like rebel, sst and pro, whats the difference, the sst looks the same as the pro. whys is the pro better than sst?

A liitle bit different, just got this finished and been out for a much awaited test run, looks and rides pretty nice. It's been a while in progress, just picking up bits here and there on the cheap. Made with pretty much all NOS parts, apart from the back Tuff. Custom made pads out of the same material as a jacket I have designed for the clothing brand Addict.

This is the frame and forks I bought from Zippy, big thanks to the two Tonys (RATTY and 796)for letting me raid their parts bin for this one, it's a bit of a bitza and I know it dont quite look as good as when Zippy had it but I think it looks OK, first bike ive built in 20 years, and it will be on the track at Braintree 5th November.

Here's my latest Robinson. This is a Pro XL which seems to be as rare as fcuk. I have to say I love the Pro but this is soooo much nicer and beefier it's untrue. Will be seen at Hersden and Dagenham this year.

Robinson Expert 1983


Well i  :smitten: My robbos so here is my second...  This little 1983 expert is my Gem ..  I went to pick up a seat i  bought on ebay from a guy that only lived 20 mins away. When i got there and we started talking said he had this Robbo in his shed in bad shape and a bag full of bits   :)  i just had to have it.  It also came with A very Special piece of paper  :smitten:..  The rims on this are the only things to stay with the f&f and bars   ....... hope you like ...

Here's one of mine I've recently finished.
I wanted to be a little different with this Robinson (I'll post my other bikes up soon).
I had an idea to make it look like it kinda meant business and didn't want to dress it up too much.
I also wanted to build a bike influenced by the RSRs that Alan built in '84 and so finding an '83 frame that had already had the gussets removed was ideal.

I bought the frame to this bike 13 years ago at Bug Jam for £25. After riding it around for a few years using parts from the shed, I decided to restore it.
With the exception of the frame, forks and Power plate, all parts used were NOS at the time.

Suffered the indignity of being paint stripped, and repainted.
These days I would caution against this practice. It's only original once, and if you're anything
like me, it'll be nagging in the back of your mind that it isn't original anymore.
