did SBD do the colour? If not is it powdercoat and what is the code? Looks fantastic.
-
lush.

That looks fantastic :4_17_5:
-
Hutchman, no its not powder, its been wet painted ;) I spent some time in a paint shop looking through swatches, eventually making a decision on a colour. A good friend of mine had offered to paint it for me - how could I refuse! He suprised me today by turning up at the race at Leeds with it.
Its lovely :smitten:
Its a long story which I will document in a new thread, showing all the work that it has had done to it. Sadly it was a very poorly DY when i got it. More to follow ;)
-
looking forward to it,interested in knowing the colour/manufacturer (assuming it's a "CAR" colour).

As they say pics don't totally do it the full justice, the colour looked fantastic in the Leeds sunshine :smitten:

Thanks for the comments guys. It really is beautiful.
I landed the landed the frame a few years ago, the bars and forks nearly two years ago and the frame was given to my friend to paint last April/May time! So I guess building is will be some time away! Although I do have quite a few parts sidelined for it ;)
Cheers JJ

B

Light machining on the inside. Is that what you mean?
-
JJ,
Some of the DY's and Shadows had a machined BB, with the ridges on the outer BB......not sure why, mine has it and seeing as they are quite close i was guessing that yours might too, but after communicating with Jim he had no idea how many where produced like this but did state that they where very few and far between..................again mate and amazing resto, i really look forward to seeing you build this one, congrats again!

Thanks for the piccy :daumenhoch: I have been looking around and the fork/cross bar decal is straight forward but I have seen different postions for the round decal. Some on the left upright, some on the right. Some on the front and some on the back. Also, the DY signature decal - does that always appear?

Well I just pinched this piccy of one of Jim Metlon's eBay auctions so I guess this is the definative positons for the bar decals.
