how about a new builds section, ive done a couple of builds now and seem to spend ages deciding where to show it and just stick them in tech and resto where not everybody visits, i know theres a couple of pages i dont go onto very often and ive missed peoples builds, i reckon if you had a specific new builds section most people would get to see it, the me and my bikes section is great for those whove got a large collection but for us relatively new comers who havent got a massive collection its shit >:D so what do you reckon

Totally agree but you sometimes get guys that have built a new race steed putting it in the race section as it may not have been a resto but is none the less a new build. I think changing the sections name to maybe 'Tech/ Restoration & New Builds' would enable us to see those race bikes put together to do the job that haven't received any resto treatment too.
I do notice the tech get's a bigger general following than the race.

How about "New Builds" as the category, then split into Race and Freestyle?

Would make sense doing it this way, at least people can present the bikes correctly. The other thing could be breaking it down into Dates. So enter the " freestyle" bit for example then its broken down in dates i.e. 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985 etc... and peeps can slot their bikes into the correct date. If they don't have the date for it, then just put that in the generic freestyle section.
