Post by: Wadz on March 27, 2010, 08:30 AM
i know the basics dye, salt,  hot water, but what do ya put it in, i used the bottom of a 250ltr  plastic barrel to bleach my mags,   i dont think this would be any good
to dye with as i need to keep the water at a constant heat, what have you lads used, and how long do you leave them in for.  ???

To do my Z rims I used a plastic bucket from whicks and used Snavs steam stripper method.

Basically boil up some water and then use a steam wall paper stripper with the plate taken off and put the hose in the water. The steam will keep the water boiling for ab out an hour and a half  :daumenhoch:

so a  plastic bucket was ok with keeping the water  boiling with the steamer, just have a image of the bucket collapsing with the heat. :-\

No it was fine, it was one of those 'rubble' plastic buckets with two large handles on each side....£7 in whicks  :daumenhoch:

The stripper was £19 from argos which worked really well and you've always got it for anything else, or to strip any wall paper  :daumenhoch:
